Weighted efficiency score

The board rolls the soft factors — deadhead legs, out-of-base overnights, aircraft repositioning, and maintenance-fit slack — into a single weighted score, shown as abstract points where lower is better. The weights are configurable per center, so you decide what matters most for your operation; the score is a planning signal, not a dollar figure. It replaces comparing schedule options by gut feel.

Who it's for

The planner who today compares schedule options by gut feel and wants one configurable signal that weighs what matters most for their operation. (In development.)

What it replaces

Comparing schedule options by gut feel.

What weighted efficiency score gives you

  • In development — will roll soft factors into one weighted score
  • Abstract points, lower is better; weights configurable per center
  • A planning signal, not a dollar figure

In development: soft factors into one score

This capability is in development. As planned, the board would roll the soft factors — deadhead legs, out-of-base overnights, aircraft repositioning, and maintenance-fit slack — into a single weighted score shown as abstract points where lower is better. It would replace comparing schedule options by gut feel.

Designed as a configurable planning signal

The weights are designed to be configurable per center, so you decide what matters most for your operation. As planned, the score is intended as a planning signal, not a dollar figure.

How an operator uses this

This capability is in development. As planned, the board would roll the soft factors — deadhead legs, out-of-base overnights, aircraft repositioning, and maintenance-fit slack — into a single weighted score shown as abstract points where lower is better. The weights are designed to be configurable per center, so you decide what matters most for your operation; the score is intended as a planning signal, not a dollar figure, and it would replace comparing schedule options by gut feel.

Illustrative — every screen reflects what's in your own data, nothing more.

How it works

Weighted efficiency score, step by step

  1. In development: the board will combine deadhead, overnights, repositioning, and maintenance-fit slack.

  2. These soft factors will roll into one weighted score, shown as abstract points where lower is better.

  3. You will set the weights per center to match what matters most for your operation.

  4. The score is designed as a planning signal, not a dollar figure.

Questions

Weighted efficiency score — frequently asked

Is the efficiency score live today?

No — the weighted efficiency score is in development. As planned, it will roll the soft factors into one configurable weighted score, shown as abstract points where lower is better.

Is the score a cost or dollar figure?

No. As designed it is abstract points (lower is better) with weights you configure per center — a planning signal, not a dollar figure. This capability is in development.
