Weight & balance

In development, targeted for Q1 2027: per-tail weight-and-balance with a CG-envelope check, computed from the aircraft profile you enter. Built and in testing — not yet enabled in production.

Launching the first quarter of 2027.

Who it's for

A corporate flight department that, once this ships, will check a loaded trip against the CG envelope per tail before it flies.

What it replaces

Doing weight-and-balance outside the platform — replaced once this is in production.

Per-tail W&B with a CG-envelope check — in development

This capability is in development, targeted for Q1 2027 and built and in testing — not yet enabled in production. Once it ships, per-tail weight-and-balance with a CG-envelope check will compute from the aircraft profile the department enters, so a loaded trip can be checked against the envelope before it flies. Until it's in production, W&B happens outside the platform.

Computed from the aircraft profile you enter

As planned, the data feeding it is the profile you enter — a certified commercial W&B data feed would be a separate integration, not a built-in claim. This is in development, targeted for Q1 2027, and the result is a planning aid; the pilot in command stays the final authority for the load.

How an operator uses this

This capability is in development, targeted for Q1 2027 and built and in testing — not yet enabled in production. Once it ships, per-tail weight-and-balance with a CG-envelope check will compute from the aircraft profile the department enters, so a loaded trip can be checked against the envelope before it flies. The data feeding it is the profile you enter — a certified commercial W&B data feed would be a separate integration, not a built-in claim. Until it's in production, W&B happens outside the platform.

Illustrative — every screen reflects what's in your own data, nothing more.

How it works

Weight & balance, step by step

  1. Planned: enter the aircraft profile for the tail.

  2. Planned: weight-and-balance will compute from that profile for the loaded trip.

  3. Planned: a CG-envelope check will show whether the load sits inside the envelope.

  4. Planned for Q1 2027 — built and in testing, not yet enabled in production.

Questions

Weight & balance — frequently asked

Does AviationAlley provide certified weight & balance data?

No. The in-development weight-and-balance computes from aircraft profiles you enter; a certified commercial W&B data feed would be a separate integration, not a built-in claim. W&B itself is in development, targeted for Q1 2027.

Is the CG-envelope check live today?

Not yet. Per-tail weight-and-balance with a CG-envelope check is in development, targeted for Q1 2027 — built and in testing, not yet enabled in production.
