One calendar schedules all three resources together (plus the chief instructor's own time), catching a conflict before the booking posts. Trainees get a secure portal showing the same progress and endorsements the school sees, so the front desk stops fielding "where am I?" calls, and the optional DPE network puts examiner scheduling next to the records instead of in a separate phone tree.
