Where AviationAlley wins

  • Full audit trail + FAA inspection mode — they have reports but the audit narrative is thinner.
  • Pilot bidding for any Part 121 expansion (they're Part 91/135-only).
  • Live crew duty board with FAR 117 windows (they show duty time as a report, not a board).
  • Safety/SMS module with 5×5 risk matrix (they don't ship one).
  • Open REST API v1 + webhooks (theirs is partner-only).

Where FL-Logix still wins

  • Established customer base in mid-market US charter — case studies are easy to find.
  • Faster onboarding for very small operators (1-3 aircraft) where our wizard is overkill.
  • Established FBO + flight-coordinator integrations specific to the corporate aviation market.

We're not pretending these are weaknesses. They're real wins for FL-Logix. Buy honestly.

Honest answers to the questions you're really asking

We're already on FL-Logix and happy. Why switch?

If you're a 5-aircraft Part 135 operator with no plans to scale or add modules, stay. The switch makes sense when you (a) need a real audit log for FAA inspections, (b) are evaluating safety/SMS to meet new Part 5 SMS requirements, (c) want a single workspace for accounting + dispatch + maintenance, or (d) plan to add a Part 121 line of business.

Does AviationAlley support Part 91 corporate flight departments?

Yes — Part 91 operators run our platform with Part 91 program types (Annual / 100hr / Progressive) on aircraftPrograms. The wizard skips Part 121-specific modules; the experience is appropriate for a 2-3 aircraft corporate flight department.

How does pricing compare?

Mid-tier (Pro) pricing is comparable to FL-Logix's per-aircraft model for charter operators. Our Starter tier is significantly cheaper for single-base operations.
